The candidate must be aware of the USMLE 2023 eligibility requirements for each step and step component before taking the exam. Additionally, phase 2 is divided into two parts: Clinical Skills (CS) and Clinical Knowledge (CK). There are three parts to the USMLE: Steps 1, 2, and 3. In the meanwhile, Prometric centers, which are present in almost all major cities, are where Step 1 and Step 2 CK can be taken.

Additionally, Step 3 is only available in the US. The Step 2 CS component, on the other hand, will be offline-based and administered at six testing facilities in the US.
